About Khàli LaBré

Editor. Author. Educator. Literary doula.

I believe stories are sacred. Not just words on a page, but living truths waiting to be witnessed — shaped with care, elevated with intention, and delivered with dignity. That’s what I do at Lemons & Gold.

I’ve been writing since I could hold a pen. Editing professionally since 2014. I hold a Bachelor’s in English from the University of South Florida and an MFA in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, along with a Graduate Certificate in Teaching Writing Online.

But more than credentials, I bring care, craft, and clarity. I’ve taught high school students in both English and Science, and I’ve supported English language learners through ESL instruction. I also have a strong background in customer care and retail, which taught me how to truly listen — a skill that shapes every edit I make and every author I guide.

I’m a member of Sigma Tau Delta and the Thespian Honor Society. And my book, Scribe: A Novel, is a love letter to language, legacy, and transformation.

This work isn’t just business. It’s legacy. So if you’re ready to publish with power, I’m here to walk with you — from draft to gold.
